Rice's Recent Legal Issues
The receiver was absent for the first six games of this season due to an NFL suspension for his role in instigating a multi-vehicle accident on a Dallas highway that left several individuals injured. He was sentenced a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
Statistically, Rice finished the year with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Chiefs finished 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the first occasion in a decade.
